Your questions answered one group faq

Are ONE Group products tested on animals?

The ONE Group is definitely a cruelty free company who do not test on animals or buy from suppliers who test on animals. All products are tested on human volunteers before being added to the range.

What does 'certified organic' mean?

It means that the product complies with the strict requirements of an independent, national certifying body. ONE Group certified organic products are manufactured to food standards, which means they are actually edible! Miessence Organics is currently the only skin care product range on the planet that has submitted to, and complies with, the rigorous processing and labeling requirements for certified organic food products.

Why aren't there regulations about harmful chemicals?

There are regulatory bodies in most countries but their main priorities are regulations applying to food and drugs. Cosmetics and personal care products are theoretically subject to regulation but because of lack of funding and the pressures of big business, the industry is, in effect, responsible for regulating itself. The power of advertising has ensured that consumers have remained largely ignorant of the dangers of chemicals in the products they buy.

Why doesn't ONE Group sell a men's skin care range?

They do! The Miessence Organics range is unisex and can be used by both men and women.

Why doesn't ONE Group sell a baby care range?

They do! The Miessence Organics range is so pure and gentle that it can safely be used on babies and children.

I've been using mainstream skin care brands all my life. Why should I change now?

We now know that many of the chemical ingredients in the best-selling brands that we buy can actually penetrate the skin and be absorbed into the bloodstream. We don't know what the long-term consequences of this could be. We do know that some ingredients of popular brands are known to be carcinogenic (which means they can cause cancer). Is that a good enough reason?

Where can I find out more about which chemicals to avoid?

You can download a free e-book from this website. It explains which ingredients to look out for in which products, and it also contains some useful references and links which you can follow up for yourself.
